Films and computer games which contain violence are very popular. Some people believe they have a negative effect on society and so should be banned. Other people, however, say that they are just harmless and help people to relax.
Discuss both these points of view and give your own opinion.
Essay plan:
Introduction --> whether violent games and films should be banned or not / source of entertainment / from my point of view, the demerits of experiencing violet games and films overshadow its possible merits
Body 1 --> essential for children’s mindset and relaxation / provide much pleasure / inoffensive / a source of refreshment / this could satisfy or entertain those who are more adventurous with evoking an adrenaline rush inside them / recent survey has also shown that watching violent actions or playing aggressive videogames is psychologically helpful as they allow the viewer or user to release their suppressed violent emotions in a safe way.
Body 2 --> on no account can we overlook the potential downsides triggered by allowing children to play violent games or watching movies containing much violence / these games and films would arouse the violent actions among juveniles / both adults and children have the tendency to imitate actions that are seen on the television / make people more aggressive / unacceptable and should be eradicated
Conclusion --> it is unwise to let young people excessive exposure of violent media / otherwise consequences will be disastrous
Many doctors say that people in today’s world do not do enough physical exercise.
What do you think are the causes of this? What solutions are there to this problem?
Essay plan:
Introduction --> despite frequent warnings from medical professionals around the world about the dire consequences of a lack of physical exercise, many people continue to get little to no exercise / this essay will first suggest the principal problems caused by this phenomenon are insufficient sports facilities and
Body 1 --> 2 root causes / 1--> the foremost reason why people do not get enough exercise is because of lack of time / majority of people struggle to find time to exercise because of daily back-breaking works that make them too exhausted / 2-->related to this is the fact that lack of sport centre / authorities share insufficient funding for the number of sporting facilities / no wonder due to lack of financial provision, such places are less likely to attract amateur and sport enthusiasts
Body 2 --> 1 -->the first possible solution would be reduction in working hours / by reducing the length of working week or giving more time to day off, people would have enough time to do exercise which help not only to reduce fatigue and eliminate anxiety level built up from in-office works to the minimum but also to stay focused on their work and are charged for the rest of the working day/ 2 --> government have to pay due attention to the quality of indoor and outdoor facilities as well as lower the cost of attendance fee to a minimum
Conclusion --> although there are potential factors that are influencing this matter, this looming issue is insurmountable. I firmly believe that it is imperative for both individuals and state authoritarians to begin by considering some of the solutions proposed above.
More and more parents are allowing their children to play on computers and tablets as they think that children should learn technology skills.
Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
Essay plan:
Introduction --> there is no dying that --> although we are living in this era of technology and globalization, yet, there remains some disagreement as to whether the overall effect of playing computer games has been positive or negative / shed light on both merits and demerits of this trend / in my opinion / this trend could have both positive and negative consequences in equal measure
Body 1 --> the main drawback of the trend towards computer games is health problems / the rise in obesity in recent years has also been linked in part to the sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise that often accompany gaming addiction / develop fatigue / put strain on eyesight / I do feel that by submerging themselves to visual content repeatedly, child’s literacy may suffer greatly
Body 2 --> despite the negatives mentioned above, I believe that computer games are a positive development for various reasons / from an educational perspective, computer improve visual skills --> stimulate imagination, creativity, concentration, logical thinking and problem solving, all of which are useful skills outside the visual content / computer simulation games can improve users’ motor skills and help to prepare them for real-world tasks, such as flying a plane /
Conclusions --> even though, it may bring several drawbacks like poor eyesight and obesity, the benefits of this trend cannot be ignored.
Many people join distance-learning programs ( study materials, post, TV, internet) and study at home, but some people think that it cannot bring the same benefit as attending colleges or universities does.
Do you agree or disagree?
Essay plan:
Introduction --> in this era of technology and globalization, all spheres of life have changed dramatically and education system is also no exception / partial agreement with this viewpoint
Body 1 --> distance-learning benefits --> virtual classrooms / online university courses / not surprisingly this appears to be becoming the most popular option for many countries as it offers not only cost-effective online learning scheme for students but also flexible time schedule that is ideal for working people / A widespread appetite for a new paradigm / this greater efficiency on current tasks also combines with other factors, like the time saved by avoiding the daily commute, offering a compelling reason for people to stay at home /
Body 2 --> home-based learning drawbacks and benefits of traditional way--> / from an educational perspective, students can have face-to-face interaction with their peers and professors / universities give students a sense of unity and encouragement which make it possible to take instant feedback from their teachers / teachers can monitor the students during learning hours / , we are at our most creative working face to face, meeting people, talking over lunch and coffee, or gathering in groups e.g. a recent study by Microsoft shows that students at home are more likely to contact current team members but less likely to get in touch with new ones So, studying from home limits our ability to connect with different teams, reduces cohesion and may hinder the potential to create new ideas
Conclusion --> possible merits of internet-based learning / traditional method of studying
/ / maximize staff’s creativity and endeavor / keep an eye on staff / ineffable /. / work under the desk / / not only is this pattern more efficient for companies, then, but it also helps to keeping employees happy and motivated
